Tim Kirkpatrick

Horsemanship Program 

Director &  Instructor

Tim Kirkpatrick is a graduate of Christ Unlimited Bible Institute, and Triple R Ranch Apprenticeship. Tim has more than 30 years of experience training, showing, teaching and managing facilities throughout the United States. Tim has experience in all aspects of the horse industry and has worked with some of the country’s leading experts.

Chris Kinman
Canyonview Ministries
​Executive Director


Chris Kinman graduated from University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in General Science and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Willamette University. Chris and his family have been involved in various roles with Canyonview over the years. Chris’ first experience at Canyonview was with Day Camp in 1983 as a 7-year-old camper. His life was transformed at Canyonview over the years as he served as a Teen in Ministry, Horse Camp Counselor, Day Camp Director, Associate Director and now our current Executive Director.

John Walker
Business Manager
Human Resource Officer Instructor


John has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Oregon State University. He also graduated from Canyonview Bible College and received his diploma in Biblical studies. John has taught seminary classes in Bible and Greek since 1979. He has also been the pastor at Salem Bible Church since 1986.

Tim Houser
Camp Program Director Instructor


Tim studied Youth Ministry and Health Sciences at Corban University and also has dual degrees in Firefighting and EMS from Chemeketa. Tim is our camp’s Program Director and is in charge of our outdoor schools, summer camps, internship and Teens In Ministry programs. Tim has extensive experience in youth ministry, theology and leader development.

Josh Hudson
Assistant Program Director T.I.M. Director


Josh has spent the last 3 years running the Teen In Ministry program. He has served in some form of youth ministry for the past 13 years Josh is well experienced in teaching the bible through many years of serving and running youth programs. While leading teens at camp, on mission trips and serving in addiction and recovery groups, he has learned different ways and styles of teaching the bible. He has completed many bible courses provided by churches and Canyonview Ministries.

Christine Kirkpatrick
Administrative Support


Christine’s passion in life is to serve her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He has allowed her to do this in many different roles throughout her lifetime. She attended Christ Unlimited Bible Institute and completed her diploma in Biblical Studies and Youth Ministry. She has served along side her husband, Tim, in many camp and church ministries for the past 28 years.

  • Four primary indoor classrooms 

  • Indoor Riding Arena (80 x 200)

  • Training Center: This facility includes an additional indoor arena (100 x 120), a viewing area, and office space

  • Outdoor Riding Arena (100 x 160)

  • Barn includes 40 box stalls, 4 tack rooms, 8 student equipment lockers, horseshoeing area, medical and feed room, hay barn, and outdoor wash rack

  • Riding trails

  • Cross-country schooling course

  • 70 Horses and all necessary equipment, including grooming supplies, tack, and blankets
