Outdoor School Field Guide (March - June & October)
As an outdoor school field guide, you’ll spend your days connecting with and inspiring 5th-grade students through engaging science, crafts, or recreational lessons. You'll also lead thrilling large-group games and initiatives, creating unforgettable experiences for your campers. Responsible for 8-15 students, you'll be a mentor, teacher, and leader, stepping into recreation areas as needed. With a variety of subjects to teach, you’ll make a real impact while having the adventure of a lifetime. Outdoor schools run March 31 to June, and many counselors stay on for our exciting summer camps, ending August 22. Don’t miss your chance to lead, inspire, and grow. Day Camp Counselor
Become the heart and soul of our camp experience! As a counselor, you’ll lead Bible studies, songs, and activities like archery, crafts, nature hikes, and games while mentoring 8-15 campers. From meals to activities, you’ll inspire and connect with your group, creating unforgettable memories. Multiple positions available. Applicants must be 18+. Pay: TBD + shared room and board
Wilderness Overnight Camp Counselor
Be the heart of our overnight wilderness camp experience! As a counselor, you’ll lead Bible studies, songs, and exciting activities like archery, crafts, nature hikes, and games while mentoring 8-15 campers around the clock (must stay in cabins with campers for overnight supervision). From sharing meals to guiding adventures, you’ll inspire, connect, and create lifelong memories. This is your chance to make a difference. Apply now and embark on an unforgettable summer! Horse Camp Counselor
As a Horse Camp counselor, you’ll bond with your campers, share Biblical wisdom, and pour your love of horses into the next generation. From horse centered activities to barn chores, you’ll be part of every adventure, building relationships that last a lifetime. Don’t miss your chance to combine your love for ministry and horses. For overnight camps, you must stay in the cabins with the campers for overnight supervision. Applicants must be 18+. Pay: TBD + shared room and board
Wrangler
Under the supervision of the Ranch Hand Coordinator, you will help mentor ranch hands in horse care, riding activities, and lessons while ensuring safety procedures are followed. Responsibilities include grooming, tacking, feeding horses, and maintaining a clean barn. Foster a positive, faith-based environment, promote teamwork, and model Christ-like behavior. Must be at least 16 years old with strong riding experience (walk, trot, canter preferred), a passion for sharing faith, working with children/teens, and the ability to enforce safety rules.
Pay: TBD + shared room and board
Pony Ride Handler (Part Time/Hourly)
Lead and supervise morning pony rides Monday to Thursday, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for children. Responsibilities include handling and grooming horses, assisting riders, enforcing safety procedures, and creating a positive, encouraging atmosphere. Must have horse-handling experience, be patient with children, and prioritize safety. Must be 17+. Pay $15/hour with approximately 20 hours per week.
Lifeguards
Assist the waterfront supervisor in maintaining a safe and fun environment at the waterfront. Train staff and campers in waterfront procedures and boating safety. Must be willing to get lifeguard certified or possess current ARC Lifeguard Certificate, and first aid and CPR training. 4 positions available, must be 15 y/o + with 18 y/o + preferred. Pay: $15/hour
Chef/Kitchen Support
Work with fellow Christians who have an interest in the culinary field, serving God while doing dishes, prepping for meals, cooking and serving our guests with a smile. Pay starting at $14/hour. 10 positions available, must be 14 y/o +. Pay: $14/hour
Leadership Positions
Day Camp Coordinator
A great opportunity to demonstrate experience in leadership. This leader must have a solid foundation in Christ and a heart for children’s ministry, but also enjoy mentoring high school and college age students. You’ll have many opportunities to teach the Bible, tell stories, sing songs, and to grow in your own faith as well. Must be 21 y/o +. Pay: TBD + shared room and board
Overnight Camp Coordinator
Works along side the other Camp Coordinators and Program Manager to run and oversee adventure and wilderness overnight camps. This leader must have a solid foundation in Christ and a heart for children’s ministry, but also enjoy mentoring high school and college age students. You’ll have many opportunities to teach the Bible, tell stories, sing songs, and to grow in your own faith as well. 2 positions are available, 1 male and 1 female role. Must be 21 y/o +. Pay: TBD + shared room and board
Teens In Ministry Coordinator
Assists the Program Manager and other TIM Leader in overseeing the Teens In Ministry (T.I.M.) Leadership Program. This includes scheduling daily tasks, mentoring the T.I.M.s, and leading Bible studies. Must have leadership skills and a desire to invest your summer in teens. This is an overnight position to provide supervision for the Teens in Ministry. 2 positions available, 1 for male and 1 for female role. Must be 21 y/o +.

Ranch Hand Coordinator/Riding Instructor
Calling all equestrian enthusiasts with a heart for ministry! We’re looking for a CHA-certified (certification included upon hiring) instructor to lead riding lessons and mentor our Teen Ranch Hands, both during the day and overnight in staff housing. This full-summer role is perfect for someone passionate about sharing Biblical wisdom and equestrian expertise with the next generation. If you love kids, teens, and horses and have a heart for pouring into others, we want you! Don’t miss this unique opportunity—apply today! Horse Camp Coordinator
Assist in leading and overseeing overnight and day horse camps alongside the Equestrian Program Coordinator and other staff. This role requires a strong foundation in Christ, a passion for children’s ministry, and a desire to mentor high school and college-age students. Responsibilities include teaching the Bible, sharing stories, leading worship, and fostering a faith-centered camp experience while ensuring a safe and engaging environment for campers. This position offers opportunities for personal spiritual growth while making a lasting impact on campers and staff. Must be 21+. Pay: $350/week + shared room and board

We are looking for teen volunteers (ages 15-17) who would like to share their love of Jesus Christ and their passion for horses with the children who come to camp each summer. We hope that each Ranch Hand will have a life changing experience; transforming their lives and the lives of others. This program promises to provide each Ranch Hand with the opportunity to develop:

We are committed to help develop in each Ranch Hand a stronger, deeper knowledge of God’s Word through Bible studies, devotions, and Scripture memorization. Our desire is to equip each Ranch Hand to better serve the Lord.
We want to see the Ranch Hands strengthen their own horsemanship skills, teaching skills, and advance their personal riding goals. We are committed to weekly riding lessons, project horses, and seminars on various horse-related subjects.
We hope to see the Ranch Hands grow in their integrity, communication, and responsibility, which are all a part of strong leadership. We are committed to teaching them how to strengthen these leadership abilities that God has blessed each one with.
Daily Responsibilities
Attend staff meetings
Supervising campers while they groom, saddle, and clean stalls
Assisting an instructor in the arena
Assisting and leading trail rides
Feeding horses and other daily chores
Horsemanship & Ministry Training
Weekly Riding Lessons
Weekly interactive Group Bible Studies
Weekly Workshop/Seminar on various subjects such as: Professionalism, Leadership Techniques, Teaching Techniques, Equine Health Care and Safety Standards

WHAT IS A TEEN IN MINISTRY (T.I.M.)?
T.I.M.s are counselors in training. They will be paired with a member of our staff to learn the ropes of this outreach ministry. It's a great time for them to make quality and Godly friendships with others their age.
T.I.M.s rotate through our Day Camp and overnight camps assisting our counselors with campers. They also serve on our Service Team that works behind the scenes to provide a clean and professional atmosphere for the incoming groups.
T.I.M.s get specialized Bible study time to grow in their walk with Christ and come away from the program with leadership skills like planning, communicating, problem solving, and teamwork in the body of Christ.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO BE A T.I.M.?
At least 14 years of age, and no older than 17. If you are going to be in high school next year, you qualify.
A strong believer in the the Word of God and a personal relationship with Christ.
A desire to tell others about Christ.
A desire to work hard and a playful spirit.
A great attitude and ready to have a wonderful time!

MAINTENANCE & GROUNDS
We are seeking skilled maintenance volunteers with experience in repairs, tools, and facility upkeep. Retired individuals with strong handyman or trade skills are especially encouraged to serve.

Feeding large groups during summer camps (and special events year-round) is a major operation — and we need your help! All work is supervised and great for those who love teamwork and blessing others through service.Tasks include:

How much do I get paid?
We have both seasonal and year-round positions. Some are full time and some are part time. Some positions are paid hourly and some are paid by the week. Pay is based on the position and your experience. When applying for a position the range of pay will be provided.
Are meals and housing available?
Most seasonal summer position include shared housing. All staff members enjoy meals that are provided during whatever shifts they work.
Are there opportunities for career growth?
We love what we do and do what we love. Cross training is a big part of our team development. During busy times we are an all-hands-on-deck team. If you want to learn and grow in the “camp world” there are lots of opportunities here at Canyonview. We also have an growing internship program that will equip you for life and for ministry.
