Equestrian Center Manager
Impact our community by sharing the Gospel and training disciples. This position oversees and directs all herd and barn management, program, facility and staff of the Canyonview Equestrian Center (CEC).
Mission Role: To share the word of truth & love of Christ to every person participating in the equestrian center using the horses as a tool for outreach and discipleship. The Equestrian Manager will train, guide, disciple & teach horsemanship to guests and staff. Guiding staff to work with integrity & share the vision & purpose of the Equestrian Center and Canyonview Ministries.

We hire 40-50 spring/summer staff each year in our various camps and programs:

Chef/Kitchen Support : Assist cooks in daily meal preparation, dishwashing, and leadership of crews. Basic food handling and preparation experience preferred. 10 positions available, must be 14 y/o +.
Counselor/Field Guide (Outdoor School March - June & October): Counselors are the heart and soul of our camps. They spend their weeks utilizing every opportunity to connect with and serve their students. They teach a science, craft or recreational lesson to 5th graders and facilitate large group games and initiatives. Responsible for 8-15 campers, 24 hours a day and filling in REC areas as needed. We have many different subjects available. Outdoor schools start March 29 and conclude in June. Most teachers continue on as counselors for our summer camps which end in August. 9 positions available, must be 18 y/o +.
Counselor (Summer Camps): Counselors are the heart and soul of our camps. They spend their weeks utilizing every opportunity to connect with and serve their campers. They spend time with their cabin at every meal and in most activities and games as well as lead their cabin in Bible Studies. Responsible for 8-15 campers, 24 hours a day and filling in REC areas as needed. We have many different counseling opportunities available, ranging from 1-9 weeks as a counselor. 30 positions available, must be 18 y/o +.
Day Camp Director: A great opportunity to demonstrate experience in leadership. This leader must have a solid foundation in Christ and a heart for children’s ministry, but also enjoy mentoring high school and college age students. You’ll have many opportunities to teach the Bible, tell stories, sing songs, and to grow in your own faith as well. Must be 20 y/o +.
Overnight Leader: Works along side the other Overnight leader/ Program director to run and over see adventure and wilderness overnight camps. This leader must have a solid foundation in Christ and a heart for children’s ministry, but also enjoy mentoring high school and college age students. You’ll have many opportunities to teach the Bible, tell stories, sing songs, and to grow in your own faith as well. 2 positions are viable 1 male and 1 female role. Must be 20 y/o +.
Teens In Ministry Leader: Assists the Program Director and other TIM Leader in overseeing the Teens In Ministry (T.I.M.) Leadership Program. This includes scheduling daily tasks, mentoring the T.I.M.s, and leading Bible studies. Must have leadership skills and a desire to invest your summer in teens. 2 positions available, 1 for male and 1 for female role. Must be 21 y/o +.
Teens in Ministry: Volunteer Position. T.I.M.s are counselors in training. They will be paired with a member of our staff to learn the ropes of this outreach ministry. It's a great time for them to make quality and Godly friendships with others their age. Age 14+
Lifeguards: Assist the waterfront supervisor in maintaining a safe and fun environment at the waterfront. Train staff and campers in waterfront procedures and boating safety. Must be willing to get lifeguard certified or possess current ARC Lifeguard Certificate, and first aid and CPR training. 4 positions available, must be 15 y/o + with 18 y/o + preferred.
Ranch Hands: Volunteer Position. Ranch Hands will share responsibilities at campfire and opportunities with the campers at evening devotions, supervising campers while they groom, saddle, and clean stalls. Assisting an instructor in the arena while preparing to become a lead instructor. Assisting and leading trail rides and feeding horses and other daily chores. Multiple positions available. Age 16+.
Riding Instructors: Responsible for teaching ground and mounted lessons. Ensure safety and assist in managing or working with ranch hands/staff. Leading trail rides and feeding horses and other daily chores. CHA Instructor 1 certification or higher required. 2 positions available, must be 18 y/o+.
Q: Can I volunteer this summer at Canyonview?
A: Yes. We always need more volunteers. Just fill out the app. We will do a background check before you begin working with kids.
How much do I get paid?
A: Weekly Salary paid twice monthly + Room and Board (food & housing)
