Check-In: Monday at 8:30 AM (Day Camp Parking Lot on Finlay Rd)
Campers must have breakfast before arriving.
Check-in starts at 9:00 AM. If you arrive early, please wait in your car
Check-Out: Friday at 5:00 PM (Same location)

Location: This overnight camp is led by Canyonview staff at Butte Creek Scout Ranch in Scotts Mills.
However, drop-off and pick-up will be at Canyonview.

Detailed driving directions will be provided upon registration.

Medication Drop-Off: During check-in at the medical stop.
Medications must be in the original container.
Prescription meds must be in labeled prescription bottles.
Do not bring extra medication—only the required amount for the week.

All knives must be checked in at registration.
Campers will receive knife safety training before using them.
Campers will be issued a knife safety card (like a driving permit).
Unsafe use = loss of knife privileges.
Parents may opt not to allow knife use for their child.

Is this camp at Canyonview?
No. Wilderness Camp is held at Butte Creek Scout Ranch in Scotts Mills.
Campers will be bussed from Canyonview to the campsite.What are the sleeping accommodations?
Campers sleep in Teepees with:
6 campers per Teepee
1 adult counselor (18+) and 1 Teen-In-Ministry leader
Camp mattresses provided (optional: bring a sleeping pad)
What kind of bathroom facilities are there?
Two porta-potties, cleaned and maintained by a rental service.
Will campers be able to shower?
No. However, they will swim in Butte Creek daily, which helps maintain hygiene.
Where do campers swim?
Butte Creek – A short walk from camp, with:
Shallow areas for wading and exploring
Deeper spots for rope swings and jumps
Lifeguards & staff supervision
How many staff members are at camp?
Staff per group:
1 counselor (18+) per Teepee
1 Teen-In-Ministry (junior counselor)
1-2 program staff (21+)
A cook & biweekly resupply visits by the Associate Director
Who keeps the knives, the kids or the counselors?
Knives are checked in at registration.
After knife safety training, campers may use them in supervised areas.
Campers receive a knife safety card (like a permit).
Unsafe use = loss of privilege.
Parents may opt not to allow knife use.
Can I call my camper?
No cell service at camp.
Our camp leader has emergency communication access.
Messages can be delivered to/from campers via our office: 971-239-1347.
Is there electricity?
No. But camp has food, water, and cooking facilities.
What if my child forgets to pack something?
We make supply deliveries on Tuesday & Thursday.

How is food provided?
A food trailer is on site, ensuring:
